Wake Island Airfield

We use to stop at Wake Island to refuel. Once I spent the night there because we were told to stay on top of a Russian Sub as long as possible. They called it PLE Prudent Limited Endurance, we called it Plan Landing Empty. We stayed on top as long as we could and stayed at the closest US held Island, Wake Island. After that experience I learned to always carry a minimum overnight bag.
